"So suddenly" Kipper said "Just two nights ago and last night". ![]() ![]() "Why does this keep going on?" Mouse asked. "What could I do to help I wonder?" Kipper asked himself as he ate a spoonful of cornflakes. "Oh! I hate waking up wet!" Mouse moaned and once again Kipper took her to the bathroom for another soapy bath.Īt breakfast Mouse was not happy with the way her bedtime nights were going. He shook Mouse awake who found her fur drenched and the newspaper wet. Kipper checked on Mouse the next morning. "Good night Kipper" said Mouse shifting herself in the most comfortable position she could. Kipper then put Big Owl next to Mouse so she could rest her head on Big Owl's soft feet. Kipper folded the newspaper over Mouse trying to form a flat bed. "Well I don't want any my toys getting wet" said Kipper a little sternly "I'll tuck you in". "Aww! This is not comfortable" Mouse groaned as she turned and rolled around on a sheet of newspaper in the toy box "Do I have to sleep on there?". By this time it was starting to rain outside. Kipper finished off the leftovers for dinner and took Mouse upstairs for bedtime preparations. "Hi! Kipper" she greeted "There's still some crackers, cheese and crisps left". Kipper had had quite a lot of excitement all day with his friends, that he was so tired when he got home. "I am going out for a walk by the park" Kipper answered "There's crackers, cheese, crisps and a banana on the table if you get hungry". "Uh huh" replied Mouse nodding "Where are you going today?". After some breakfast, Kipper started making some cheese sandwiches and asked Mouse "You'll be alright by yourself won't you?". After cleaning Mouse, Kipper washed Slipper and hung it up to dry on the clotheshorse. Mouse had a soapy bath in the wash basin. "Come on let's get you washed up" said Kipper picking Mouse up and taking her and Slipper to the bathroom. Mouse turned her head down and said "Oh.Uh.", then she crossed her arms and blushed a bit. "Ugh! Mouse, did you just.?" Kipper asked. Then something caught Kipper's nose, he picked up Slipper and sniffed it. Then he looked at the ceiling "There's no rain leaking in" Kipper commented. Kipper examined the Slipper which had a small puddle in it. "Kipper, my slipper's wet" Mouse told him. "Morning Mouse" Kipper said stretching his arms. Next morning, Mouse got up, headed to Kipper's basket and woke him up. Then both Kipper and Mouse rolled over and fell asleep. "Good night Mouse" Kipper said reaching out to turn his bedside lamp off. "Well good night Kipper" Mouse said in a sleepy voice. Kipper was soon in his cosy basket, while Mouse was curled up in Slipper. "I'm tired too" Kipper said yawning "Let's go upstairs and get ready for bed". "Shall we stop?" Mouse asked "I'm tired". As the game dragged on the two friends became rather tired. "Oh! The weather has not cheered up at all" said Kipper turning to peer at the window. As they played the wind howled and all at once rain poured and dripped down heavily. Kipper and Mouse played a board game of 'Snakes and Ladders'. Kipper and Mouse finished off their salad and then headed to the living room. Mix them in a bowl and finally add some oil and vinegar". "Well" Kipper answered "You cut a tomato, a cucumber, a red onion, a leek and some lettuce. "Mmm, nice salad" said Mouse licking around her mouth "How do you make it?". On a very breezy evening, Kipper was sharing dinner with Mouse.
